A visionary’s voice
As a seasoned entertainment industry professional, I’ve been on a journey that spans over 25 years. My passion for this field started at an early age as a child performer, and it has only grown stronger since then. To me, personal branding is not just a buzzword – it’s something that has been ingrained in my conditioning and thought process since my early days.I was fortunate enough to have been mentored by some of the greatest minds in the industry, which has helped me analyze my strengths and weaknesses as a personality and leverage opportunities that align with my vision.
I remember as a young girl that I started mini-projects at 12 years old in my community as practice – somehow I knew I needed to share, lead and teach. After making the conscious decision to support others in their journey towards entertainment and industry professionalism, I created The Saskia Riley Network. Initially, it was only a Personal Branding agency, but over time, it became the umbrella company for Hucklberry Media, now known as a Personal Brand & SMME Development Agency. Thanks to receiving a bursary in entrepreneurship, we realized that our vision is larger than ourselves. My ultimate goal is to grow alongside you and elevate you to your greatest potential, just as my mentors once did for me. I believe in you!

When we ignore the signals from our body, when we bury the quiet urgencies in favour of “just keeping up,” we pay a price. The light in our eyes fades. Creativity becomes stuck. Energy becomes transactional instead of generative.
Mpume comes from the township of Lamontville in Durban. Saskia comes from Lavender Hill on the Cape Flats. Two different places. Same story in so many ways. We didn’t grow up around entrepreneurship. We didn’t have access to rooms where strategy was casually discussed over tea, or where generational wealth softened the edges of risk. What we did have was something far less visible – but far more powerful. We had mothers who carried worlds on their backs.
Single mothers.
Women who made a plan where there was none.
Women who held homes together with faith, grit, and an unspoken agreement with life that said: “No matter what, my children will keep going.”
And so we did.
